Flying Flock — YKRA Kids asked me to create their 2024 limited edition print: Flying Flock, that features endangered birds on the verge of extinction, and was inspired by my 2018 diploma project titled "Life Under the Northern Lights" that illustrated 35 living and extinct creatures. I chose 17 bird species from all over the world that had a special place in my heart and were on the International Union for Conservation of Nature Red List of Threatened Species (IUCN Red List or Red Data Book), an inventory of the global conservation status and extinction risk of biological species.
YKRA Kids creates long-lasting backpacks and accessories with a nostalgic vibe for tiny adventurers. Crafted with care from premium quality materials. Their products are loyal companions of the family’s smallest on their journey to explore the world. YKRA team was motivated by its passion for the 70’s mountaineering gear to create colorful, vintage style backpacks, that don’t just look good but are also functional for everyday use.
